Six Darn Cows

Jen and Tod Bean bring the family's six milking cows home daily, from their field. They'd rather swim and do other things than this job but change their tune, after they are horrified to discover their family's important source of income has disappeared. Ann Blades ia a children's illustrator and author. She won the Canadian Association Of Children's Librarians Book Of The Year award in 1972 for "Mary Of Mile 18". In 1978 she was the winner of the Canada Council Award For Children's Literature for "A Salmon For Simon".
