Results of the 2011 rural, agricultural and fishery census

The main purpose of the 2011 Census is to collect basic information on rural areas, agriculture and fisheries in order to: (i) Assess the current situation, analyze trends, develop plans and strategies for regional development. agriculture and rural areas and improving the living standards of the rural population nationwide as well as in each locality; (ii) evaluate the results of implementation of a number of contents in the national target programs on industrialization and modernization of agriculture, rural areas and new rural construction; serving international comparison of indicators in the agricultural and rural areas; (iii) building a database of agricultural and rural areas, serving in-depth research and sampling for some periodic surveys in the following years.
